Fitting your heel strap is a quick and simple job, and once you’ve done it once or twice, it’ll feel like second nature.
The heel strap helps keep your feet safely positioned on the footplate, giving you extra support and stability while you’re on the move.
✅ Tools Needed: AN ALLEN KEY
(We can provide one if needed!)
Step-by-Step Instructions

Get Your Parts Ready
You should have:
- The heel strap with attached black bar
- A bolt
Make sure everything is within reach before you begin.

Insert the Bolt
Take your bolt and insert it into the hole on the side of the footplate.
Push it through so the threaded end comes out the other side.

Connect the Heel Strap Bar
Take the black bar attached to the heel strap and line it up with the bolt.
Slide it into position so the bolt passes through the hole in the bar.
Let’s Tighten!: Secure the Strap
Using your Allen key, tighten the bolt until the strap is held firmly in place.
You want it secure, but still able to sit naturally without forcing it.
Attach the Strap to the Footrest Pole
To finish, loop the strap around the lower silver footrest pole.
If you’re unsure how to access this part, follow our guide on extending the footrests — this makes it much easier.
Once extended:
- Pull the loop of the strap over the silver lower section
- Let it sit securely in place
Check Security
Give the strap a gentle pull to make sure everything is fitted correctly.
It should feel secure, with no excessive movement.
🔄 If You Need to Adjust
If the strap feels loose or uneven:
- Slightly tighten the bolt
- Reposition the strap
- Check the loop is properly seated on the lower pole
