How to Extend the Footrests on Your Wheelchair
The footrest extension consists of three parts that need to be properly aligned to adjust the height. Follow these steps to ensure a secure fit:
Step 1: Insert the Multi-Thread Tube into the Lower Footrest
- Identify the Multi-Thread Tube (the small black and silver part with multiple threaded holes).
- Slide it into the Lower Footrest Tube (the bent silver tube connected to the footplate).
- Align the holes on both tubes so the securing bolts or pins can be inserted.

Step 2: Insert the Lower Footrest into the Upper Footrest
- Take the fully assembled Lower Footrest (which now has the Multi-Thread Tube inside).
- Insert it into the Upper Footrest (the vertical frame of the wheelchair).
- Again, align the holes on both parts to ensure they are level.
Step 3: Secure the Footrest
- Once all the parts are correctly aligned, insert the securing bolt.
- Make sure they are tightened properly to prevent any movement.
- Test the footrest by gently applying pressure to ensure itβs stable and locked in place.
Adjusting the Height
- If you need to raise or lower the footrest, repeat the process by adjusting the position of the Multi-Thread Tube before securing it.
