Terms and Conditions of Sale for World of Wheelchairs
1. Formation of Contract
1.1 These terms of sale apply to all goods supplied by World of Wheelchairs, operated by East Riding Ltd, located at 8 Victoria Street, Goole, East Yorkshire DN14 5DZ.
1.2 No contract exists between you (the customer) and World of Wheelchairs until your order has been accepted and payment has been received in full.
1.3 Acceptance of your order will be confirmed via email, and a binding legal contract is formed upon receipt of this confirmation.
1.4 The contract is subject to your right of cancellation as outlined in section 6.
1.5 World of Wheelchairs reserves the right to amend these terms of sale without prior notice for future sales.
1.6 These terms and conditions apply exclusively to website and phone orders; different policies are available upon request for in-store purchases.
2. Description and Pricing of Goods
2.1 All prices displayed are in £ sterling and are exclusive of VAT and delivery charges unless otherwise stated.
2.2 Prices are subject to change without notice. Inaccuracies in pricing will be promptly addressed, and customers will be given the option to proceed with the correct price or cancel their order via email.
2.3 Availability of goods is not guaranteed, and World of Wheelchairs will inform customers of any stock shortages as soon as possible, offering refunds or alternative options.
2.4 Delivery to remote areas may incur a surcharge, which will be confirmed before despatch.
3. Payment
3.1 Payment for goods and delivery charges must be made in full before the scheduled delivery date.
3.2 World of Wheelchairs reserves the right to withhold delivery until cleared funds are received.
3.3 Payments must be made without deduction unless a valid court order requires otherwise.
3.4 Secure online payment options include major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Visa Electron, and Delta).
4. Delivery
4.1 Delivery is limited to the United Kingdom and requires a signature upon receipt.
4.2 Orders are processed the next working day and delivered within 14 working days, subject to stock availability and security checks.
4.3 Customers will be notified of any delivery delays or issues, with refunds provided where applicable.
4.4 While every effort is made to deliver promptly, World of Wheelchairs is not liable for delays beyond its control.
4.5 Standard Orders and Small Parts may not be eligible for shipment via our mainline express despatch network. Delivery for these items may take up to 7 working days.
4.6 We strongly recommend that customers inspect goods upon delivery. If this is not possible at the time, please sign for the item as “UNCHECKED.”
4.7 Orders to Northern Ireland, The Highlands, or other non-mainland UK addresses may incur additional charges or extended delivery times.
5. Risk/Title
5.1 Goods are at the customer’s risk at the point of delivery to the address provided.
5.2 Ownership of goods remains with World of Wheelchairs until full payment is received.
6. Right of Cancellation

6.1 Customers have the right to cancel their order within 14 working days of receiving the goods.
6.2 Cancellation must be submitted in writing, and goods must be returned at the customer’s expense in their original condition.
6.3 Refunds will be issued within 30 days of cancellation, subject to inspection of returned items.
6.4 Custom-designed, prescribed, or special-order items are non-refundable.
6.5 Items returned after 14 days may incur a restocking fee of at least 20%, depending on condition. Heavily used or damaged goods may be subject to further deductions.
7. Warranty
7.1 All products come with a 12-month parts warranty against faulty manufacture or materials.
7.2 Warranty repairs must be arranged through World of Wheelchairs, with customers responsible for delivery and collection costs.
7.3 General warranty exclusions include adjustments, fair wear & tear, and damage caused by misuse or accidental damage.
