We know that you must be eager to get moving! So don’t worry, fitting your footsteps is a super quick process, and once you’ve done it a couple times, it’ll feel like second nature. These particular footrests use a simple rubber-tipped peg and a secure locking latch to keep everything steady while you’re on the move.
✅ Tools Needed: JUST YOUR HANDS!
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Identify Left and Right Footrests
- First, let’s figure out which footrest is which.
- A helpful tip: the footrests are designed to fold inwardly towards the centre of your chair. Give them a quick test fold, and you’ll know exactly where they belong.
- Get Into Position
- Hold your footrest so that the rubber stopper (the peg) is pointing down to the ground. Line it up with the mounting socket on the front of your chair’s frame.
- Let’s Wiggle!: Insert the Rubber Stopper
- Gently lower the peg of your footrest into the socket.
- Wiggle slightly as you push down — the rubber tip creates friction that keeps everything secure.
- Swing Inward to Lock
- Once the peg is fully inserted, swing the footrest inwards towards the centre of the chair.
- You’re wanting to hear it click into place when the release latch engages with the frame – that’s your signal that it is locked in place.
- Check Security
- Before you head out, lightly tug on the footrest to confirm it’s definitely locked and secure.
- If it feels loose or a bit wobbly, remove and reseat it, making sure it’s pushed down firmly and latched.
🔄 To Remove the Footrest:
- Lift the black release latch upward to disengage it.
- Swing the footrest outward away from the chair.
- Pull the unit straight up and out of the socket. It’s as simple as that!
