These footrests use a single rubber-tipped peg and a locking release latch for secure attachment. Follow these steps to install them correctly:

Step-by-Step Instructions
- Identify Left and Right Footrests
- Each footrest is side-specific.
- The footrests fold down into the centre of the wheelchair – this helps you identify which is left and right.
- Position the Footrest
- Hold the footrest so that the rubber stopper (peg) is pointing downwards.
- Line it up with the mounting socket on the front of the chair frame.
- Insert the Rubber Stopper
- Gently lower the footrest into the socket.
- Wiggle slightly as you push down — the rubber tip creates friction and may need a small amount of movement to seat properly.
- Swing Inward to Lock
- Once the peg is fully inserted, swing the footrest inwards towards the centre of the chair.
- It should click into place when the release latch engages with the frame.
- Check Security
- Lightly tug on the footrest to confirm it’s locked and secure.
- If it feels loose, remove and reseat it, making sure it’s pushed down firmly and latched.
🔄 To Remove the Footrest:
- Lift the black release latch upward to disengage it.
- Swing the footrest outward away from the chair.
- Pull the unit straight up and out of the socket.
